Bedford Arms, Oakley, Bedfordshire

This is the only pub in the village of Oakley. The pub has two bars with side rooms and is based upon a stone walled Grade 2 listed building dating from the 17th century.

The pub serves a large range of bar meals and has a patio restaurant (best to book for that). There is a large garden with plenty of tables and seating next to the pub overlooking the road. This garden caters for children having a dedicated play area and sometimes in summer a bouncy castle.

The ramshackle building next to the pub on the bend in the road which looks like a disused garage is in fact the old village smithy.

The Bedford Arms is a Charles Wells (local Bedford brewer) tied house but also serves the odd guest beer.
