The Cock is located in the centre of the village on the main road and is the only remaining pub there. There is a car park at the rear and a couple of seats at the front of the pub so you can watch the world go by.
This is a typical village boozer catering for the village trade almost exclusively. On the walls of the bar there used to be photographs of the village life yesteryear. These ranged from pictures of the Pavenham home guard as well as the more usual sporting activities. These seem to have gone in the revamp.
This pub now serves food in the evening and the weekends. It is reported to be rather expensive but uses all fresh ingredients so can be understanable.
Note that the opening hours for this pub are not the normal ones. They are closed lunchtimes Monday to Thursday inclusive. This pub no longer opens all day at the weekends, closing at 3pm.
